Operations Interdependence® (continue)

OI is a non-profit organization that is the premier Civilian-to-Military Delivery System® in the U.S., providing a means for people to support troops deployed overseas by supplying them with a note from home and some of the everyday items that they miss. OL Civilian Rations® (dubbed C-rat®) are quart-sized plastic baggies that contain items such as snacks, personal care products, and most importantly a letter of well wishes from a thoughtful person back home. For many men and women deployed, it’s the only communication they receive from home. The OI delivery system is unique because all shipments to the front lines are coordinated through unit commanders thereby ensuring military resources are not impacted and boxes make it to their intended destination. OI ships C-rat to troops every month during their deployment. Items that do not meet OI shipping standards are donated to military families, VA hospitals and veteran’s organizations so nothing goes to waste.
